The desert can be a merciless place. The dry landscape withstands severe conditions, requiring its inhabitants to develop unique methods to survive. Desert life, such as the cactus, perseveres by using its prickly defenses to protect itself from the harsh environment.

 

I imagine many of us are like the cactus. Living life through difficult seasons. As a result, we develop various defense strategies to manage stress.

 

Therapy is the place to examine how you cope in undesirable circumstances, learn how your defenses might get you stuck and explore ways to move forward. My goal is to help you thrive in the midst of your current challenges, just like the cactus flourishes in the desert heat.
